What this site stores about you

Nothing that identifies you. AquaReefBasin is built as static pages with no server-side application and no database. There is no sign-up, no login, no comment form and no mailing list. The two calculators — the test reader and the water change calculator — run entirely in your browser, send nothing anywhere, and do not write anything to local storage. Close the tab and the values are gone.

Server logs

The hosting provider that serves these pages keeps ordinary access logs, as every web host does. Those typically record an IP address, a timestamp, the page requested and a browser user agent, and they exist so the host can operate and secure the service. AquaReefBasin does not use them to build any profile of a visitor.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own and shows no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. It does not run advertising scripts, social media widgets, session recording or A/B testing tools.

Leaving for Amazon

Product links go to Amazon and carry an affiliate tag. Once you follow one you are on Amazon’s site and under their privacy policy, not this one. Amazon will set its own cookies and use them to attribute a purchase to this site, which is how the affiliate arrangement works. AquaReefBasin never receives your name, your address, your payment details or a record of what you bought — only aggregate commission reporting. External links

The parameter and fix pages link to published sources at government agencies and professional bodies. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not extend to them.

Children

This site is not directed at children and knowingly collects no information from anyone, of any age.
